After scoring a blockbuster with Sankranthiki Vasthunam last year, Venkatesh has been carefully choosing his projects rather than rushing into new ones. He recently appeared in an extended cameo in Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, spearheaded by Chiranjeevi, and his role as Venky received a solid response from the audience.
Currently, Venkatesh is working on Adarsha Kutumbam, a family entertainer directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The movie is expected to arrive for Dusshera. At the same time, he was approached for th Telugu version of Drishyam 3.
However, with remakes witnessing a muted response at the box office and audiences showing less interest in them lately, Venkatesh is said to have opted out of Drishyam 3 Telugu remake.
The Malayalam (original) version of Drishyam 3 is scheduled to hit screens on April 2 and is set to arrive on OTT even before the Telugu remake goes on floors. As a result, Venkatesh has reportedly stepped away from Drishyam 3. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
