Another feather has been added to the illustrious career of Tollywood star Nandamuri Balakrishna, whose journey in Telugu cinema spans five decades. The veteran actor was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam.
The honour celebrates his remarkable 50-year journey, marked by versatility, enduring impact, and unwavering dedication to his craft.
Balakrishna attended the ceremony in New Delhi on March 25, 2026, where the award was presented by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in the presence of prominent figures from the film and cultural spheres.
Adding to his recent achievements, his film Bhagavanth Kesari, directed by Anil Ravipudi, won Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 71st National Film Awards.
In 2025, he was also conferred with the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian honour, recognising his contributions to the arts and cinema.
Over the years, Balakrishna has carved a distinct space in Indian cinema with his powerful performances, larger-than-life screen presence, and strong connection with audiences, seamlessly balancing mythological roles and mass entertainers.
This recognition at IFFD 2026 reflects both his lasting influence and the pride of the Telugu film industry, marking yet another milestone in a celebrated career.
