The launch event of Dharman offered more than just the title reveal of Rajinikanth’s 173rd film. During his interaction with the media, the Superstar opened up about the various story discussions that took place before Ashwath Marimuthu was finalized as the director.
Speaking about one such narration by Cibi Chakravarthi, Rajinikanth revealed that it revolved around a nuclear scientist and nuclear weapons, with shooting planned in Afghanistan and Russia. While impressed by the story, the Superstar said its sensitive subject matter and extensive production requirements prompted the team to put it on hold.
The revelation has sparked curiosity among fans, with many hoping the project will eventually be revived. For now, however, Rajinikanth’s focus remains on Dharman, produced by Kamal Haasan and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.
