The sudden slowdown in Sreeleela’s Telugu career has become a talking point in the industry. Once considered one of the busiest young stars in Telugu cinema, the actress currently does not have a confirmed upcoming Telugu film after Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
The Pawan Kalyan starrer, released in March 2026, received negative reviews and underperformed at the box office. What makes the situation surprising is how quickly things have changed for Sreeleela.
At one point, she had back-to-back releases and was among the most sought-after actresses in Tollywood. Interestingly, she is now looking beyond Telugu cinema.
Sreeleela is making her Bollywood debut opposite Kartik Aaryan in Anurag Basu’s upcoming romantic musical, and she is also working on a Tamil project.
However, there is no clarity yet on when she will sign her next Telugu film. For an actress who was once almost constantly in the news with new projects, the absence of a Telugu film is certainly surprising.
