G2 (Goodachari 2) is the direct sequel to Adivi Sesh’s super hit spy thriller Goodachari. The film has been in production for a long time and recently drew attention after Rahul Ravindran praised the project.

An interesting casting detail has now emerged. The makers first approached Malavika Mohanan for the role eventually played by Wamiqa Gabbi, who is making her Tollywood debut with the film. Adivi Sesh revealed that Malavika turned down the offer as she was already committed to another spy thriller, Sardar 2.

Meanwhile, the shooting of G2 is nearing completion. Once the remaining work is wrapped up, the makers are expected to announce the release date and other details.
