Jr NTR and Koratala Siva’s Devara completed two years yesterday and was re-released in theatres, giving fans another chance to relive the action drama on the big screen. But for those eagerly waiting for Devara 2, the celebrations came without the one update they were hoping for.
Neither Jr NTR nor Koratala Siva had anything new to share about the sequel. The continued silence has only made the questions surrounding Devara 2 louder. Earlier, Yuvasudha Arts producer Sudhakar Mikkilineni had reassured fans that the sequel was very much on track. However, there was no update on the project even on Jr NTR’s birthday, and the latest silence has added to the uncertainty.
The bigger challenge is the busy road ahead for both the actor and director. Jr NTR already has Dragon lined up, followed by his mythological film with Trivikram Srinivas. Meanwhile, Koratala Siva is working on the script for his project with Balakrishna. With their respective commitments piling up, Devara 2 appears to have taken a back seat.
For a sequel that once had fans eagerly waiting for the next chapter, the prolonged silence is certainly not encouraging. At this point, only an official word from the makers can clear the air. Until then, Devara 2 remains a project surrounded by more questions than answers.
