Beemaneni-Srinivas
After giving a super hit in the form of Sudigadu, Bheemineni Srinivas took a long gap and is now back with yet another youthful entertainer Speedunnodu. The film is up for release this Friday and on this occasion, we caught up with him for a brief interview. Here is the transcript.

Q) Why did you take such a long gap after Sudigadu ?

Frankly, things were not working out after the success of Sudigadu. I had a couple of films in hand but there were so many issues and these projects never kicked off. Some times there were date issues and other times some did not like my scripts.

Q) So what made you direct a film called Speedunnodu ?

After seeing the original, I was quite excited and decided to remake it instantly. As things were not working out, I kept on polishing the project and finally I am here with the release.

Q) What made you choose a new hero like Bellamkonda Srinivas ?

After watching his debut film, I was very much impressed with his performance. I felt that a young hero with no image will suit my character well and that is how I decided to rope him in.

Q) What made you produce this film ?

After going through a lot of problems during these three years, I felt that I should take the risk myself and decided to make this film.

Q) How was it working with Bellamkonda Srinivas ?

Even though he does not have a particular image, everyone knows about his potential. With this film, he will prove himself that he is a complete actor and not just a one film wonder.

Q) Why do always choose remakes ?

They have become a part and parcel of my life. I feel that it is very easy to register the story with the audience right away without much fuss. They have become my weakness now and I feel very confident doing them.

Q) Your producing the film yourself. What made you choose a huge star like Tamanna for just a song ?

The song is a very important factor in the film and I felt that it would be good move if have a huge star like Tamanna. She also shares a good relation with the hero and that has worked big time for us.

Q) Gossips suggest that Bellamonda Suresh is financing you in this project ?

He has nothing to do with the film as I have done everything by my own with a lot of risk.

Q) What are your future projects ?

As of now, I am very busy with this film. Once I am done with the promotions, I will think about my next project.
