Interview : Trivikram – NTR has given blood and soul for Aravinda Sametha

Aravinda Sametha is one of the most awaited films in recent times. As the film is ready for the release this Thursday, we caught up with director Trivikram for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.

That was the reason I did not speak much at the pre-release event

I was in a very confused state at the pre-release event. The death of Harikrishna garu was quite fresh in everyone’s memory and whatever I speak will end at that incident only. That was the reason I left all the talking to NTR only.

NTR himself took that brave decision

The moment Hari Krishna garu passed away, both I and Chinna Babu decided that we should release the film during summer 2018 as Dec and Jan were filled with releases. But to our surprise, NTR himself called on the second day and said that he will attend the shoot and the film will release on time. We were shocked to hear this from NTR and just followed what he said. He has given blood and soul for this film.

I did not take Agnyathavasi’s failure to heart

I am kind of a person who does not carry the baggage of hits and flops. I only take things to heart when the film flops or becomes a major success. I am always busy reading and writing for my scripts. The moment I get excited about an idea I pursue it and forget the rest.

I am showcasing a new angle in faction backdrop

In the past, there have been many films made on the faction backdrop but Aravinda Sametha will showcase the aftermath of the wars and fights that happen in the name of the faction. How the women in these areas deal with the tense situations and what is their take on these wars is the film all about.

Aravinda Sametha has no similarity with Kobali

Many are asking me whether this film is similar to Kobali which I wanted to make with Pawan Kalyan. But that is not the case as Aravinda Sametha is a different film and has all the emotions which will be quite solid and told in a commercial way.

Peniviti Song will have beautiful visuals

Even I saw the backlash that came for Peniviti. Only forty percent has been shot on NTR and the rest are all montage shots. So, we did not reveal much and in the film, you will see this song coming in with beautiful emotions.

There is no forced comedy in this film

For the first time, I have narrated the film according to the need of the story. You won’t see much romance or forced comedy characters in the film as the emotions will be quite matured and to the point.

Audience will hate Jagapathi Babu

We made Jagapathi Babu looks so gory as his character will reveal how people go to extreme lengths for ego and to take revenge. His addition in the film was NTR’s idea. The way JB has done his role will be solid and will make people just hate him.

People are one and the same always

The social media is a new weapon for today’s youth. Previously, the audience did not have anything to reveal their feelings. Now, they have twitter and Facebook to showcase what they feel. We get to see what people are thinking on the first hand but the mentalities of the audience will never change.
