Malyadri Nallapaneni, a guy from a Middle class farmer’s family in India came to the United States to pursue his education and career. He had many of the same hopes of every international student who pursues the american dream; Friends, family, and personal & professional fulfillment within the community.
On the morning of Thursday (11/1/17), a tragic incident shook his entire family. Our good friend Malya suffered a massive cardiac arrest in his sleep without any warning. Doctors and EMT’s made every possible effort over the following 48 hours to bring him back to us. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful and we lost him at age 33!
None of us could ever imagine a young dynamic strong stud of a guy who as far as we know, has never been sick has left us without any reason just like that. A good person by heart, a strong supporter for everyone he knew, a great colleague at work, and a vital member of the expatriot Indian community in Minnesota. Malya was an incredibly positive and supportive force in our lives. He loved movies, helping the less fortunate among us, and his young family.
Our goal is to raise funds for the immediate needs of Malya’s family and then for a fund to support his 15 month old son’s (Neehal) education. Right now there are a lot of expenses with the medical care and the trip back to India to lay his mortal remains to rest. Any contributions will go to immediately cover these expenses on behalf of the family.
Longer term Neehal and Sirisha (Malya’s wife of 5 years) will need to keep the family home and provide for young Nehal’s ongoing education. We thank you for any support you can give as you keep them in your hearts.
