Press Note : North Texas Asian Indian Community Celebrated 39th India Day

India Association of North Texashosted their 39th India Day event to celebrate the 66th Republic Day of India on January 24, 2014 in Garland Texas at the Curtis Culwell Center.

India Day is an annual cultural and dance event hosted by the India Association of North Texas ( celebrating India’s republic day. Event included presentations on Indian history, culture and dance performances by over 1200+ participants from all across DFW. Over 5000 people from all across North Texas attended this event. IANT’s aim is to create engagement and awareness about the Asian Indian history and culture in North Texas.

The India Association of North Texas (IANT) is a 501(c) (3) Non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian organization. Established in 1962 and incorporated in 1976, with the primary purpose to serve the cultural and educational needs of the North Texas Indian community. IANT is an approved Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) umbrella organization, in the DFW Area by the National Federation of Indian Associations. More than 50 Indian organizations are its Affiliate Members.
