Vijay Deverakonda’s Taxiwaala is having a steady run after a solid 2-day first weekend. The film has already turned out to be a profitable venture both in India and overseas. In the US, Taxiwaala is inching towards the half-a-million-dollar mark.
On Sunday, Taxiwaala collected a gross of $119,935 from 99 locations across the US, taking its updated total to $431,479 (Rs 3 crores). The film is expected to gross anywhere around $800K before Rajinikanth’s 2.0 occupies most of the screens from November 29.
In the first 2 days, Taxiwaala collected a worldwide share of Rs 9 crore plus, making it a hit due to the low costs involved.
