The Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convenor Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Tuesday criticised the Congress MLAs from the Telangana region for voting against the No Confidence Motion.
Talking to reporters in the assembly premises, Errabelli asked Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram and TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao as to why they have achieved by supporting the Telangana Congress MLAs. “The MLAs simply ignored the requests of Prof Kodandaram and KCR and voted in favour of the government,” he said. He reminded that former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy had earlier announced that he would resign from the Congress party if it fails to announce separate Telangana by December 1. However, he said Komatireddy not only stayed with the party, but also cast his vote to save the government.
Errabelli said that unlike Congress MLAs, the TDP MLAs from the region were always committed for Telangana and all 32 members have even resigned to the post for the statehood cause. Reiterating his appeal, he said that all political leaders from the region should fight unitedly for the cause of separate Telangana. (INN)
