Seemandhra Forum Convenor S Sailajanath on Sunday accused Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram of misusing the Telangana agitation for their selfish interests.
Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party office, Sailajanath alleged that KCR and Kodandaram have been instigating the weaker sections and backward class communities to participate in the agitation and misusing them for their selfish interests. He said the Telangana agitation has cost dearly for the lives of weaker sections and backward class communities. He said the KCR and Kodandaram should be held responsible for arrest of backwards and weaker communities in the Rail Roko agitation.
Sailajanath alleged that Chandrasekhar Rao and Kodandaram have been giving agitation calls for agitations by sitting in AC rooms and misusing the youth to protect their selfish interests. He appealed to people of Telangana to understand the conspiracy hatched by KCR and Kodandaram in the name of Telangana statehood and open their eyes, at least now.
Despite the high command warned the Congress leaders not to participate in the Rail Roko agitation, he said the Congress leaders supported the agitation directly and created the mess at railway stations. He said that the state government was making all out efforts to open the government and private schools and ready to protect security, wherever required.
The Minister appealed to public and private school managements and teachers joint action committee, who are on general strike of employees, to re-open the schools in view of students’ future. (INN)
