Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Thursday asked the Centre not to test the patience of Telangana people and warned the government of serious consequences if it fails to introduce the bill for formation of separate Telangana.
Speaking after flagging off the bus yatra launched for cause of Telangana martyrs families by suspended DSP D Nalini at Srikanthachary Chourasta in LB Nagar, Prof Kodandaram slammed the government for resorting to delaying tactics and demanded that the government introduce bill for separate Telangana in the winter session of Parliament. The Centre should honour the promise of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram made on December 9, 2009, and put an end to uncertainty in the state.
Suspended DSP D Nalini, said that the bus yatra would cover all 10 districts in the Telanagana region in the next five days and create awareness among people over the need for creation of separate Telangana state.
Telangana Nagara Samiti president Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader Bhandaru Dattatreya, veteran freedom fighter Konda Lakshman Bapuji and noted educationist Chukka Ramaiah were also present in the programme. (INN)
