Minister for Medical Education Kondru Murali Mohan on Monday took serious note on the ‘unruly behavior’ of opposition Telugu Desam Party and BJP for obstructing the House business on Telangana employees’ issue.
Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party Office, Kondru Murali Mohan condemned both BJP and TDP members for staging dharna in front of Speaker podium and forcing him to adjournment of House with their ‘unruly behaviour.’ “The members’ unruly behavior is against the spirit of democracy. They have brought disrepute to the House with their arrogant attitude,” he said.
“Though Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy made a clear statement that the issue is pending in the court and the government would resolves it after the judgment, both the parties did not heed to his words and forced Speaker Nadendla Manohar to adjourn the House abruptly,” he pointed out.
Instead of permitting the Speaker to take up healthy discussion on the pressing issues, the members were forcing him to postpone the business repeatedly and wasting precious time of House, he said. At least now, the opposition parties act responsibly as the people of the State were watching their elected representatives’ behaviour closely, he stated.
Kondru also criticised the opposition parties for not giving chance to first time MLAs to raise their constituencies’ problems in the House. (INN)
