The Telugu Desam Party on Wednesday accused the State Government of shielding the tainted Ministers, who were served notices by the Supreme Court in connection with disproportionate assets case of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Talking to media persons at Telugu Desam Legislature Party Office, TDP deputy floor leader Ashok Gajapathi Raju demanded that the government sack the ministers immediately from the Cabinet as they brought disrepute to the State and place all the files related to controversial GOs before the Speaker. He asked the government to explain what steps it would take on the issue.

“Is the government ready to cancel the GOs or it would it give permission to the probing agency to conduct enquiry against the IAS officers,” Gajapathi Raju asked. Asking as to why the government was afraid of taking up a discussion on such a serious issue, he criticized the government for trying to divert the attention of the House.

The TDP leader condemned Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for violating the rights of people’s representatives by cutting the mike when they were pressing for a discussion in the House. He also condemned the Congress leaders’ statement that the TDP was pressing for discussion on the issue only to get political mileage on it.

Gajapathi Raju said that the people of state were watching the Congress leaders carefully and would teach them a fitting lesson at an appropriate time. (INN)
