Published on Feb 22, 2012 10:11 am IST

Telangana Rashtra Samithi floor leader Etela Rajender on Wednesday alleged that the suspension of 11 TRS MLAs from the House for two days by Speaker Nadendla Manohar proved that the Assembly belonged to Seemandhra people.

Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, he said that although Speaker suspended 11 TRS members from the House, both ruling and opposition parties should make efforts to move a resolution on Telangana state in the House at least now. He said that the TRS would take the suspension of its MLAs before the people and exposes the ruling Congress and TDP stand on the statehood issue.

Etela asked as to why the Congress and TDP were not responding on the statehood issue despite the TRS assurance that it would cooperate with the Speaker to run the House harmoniously.

Stating that the people of region would teach a fitting lesson to both parties in the ensuing by-elections, he said Congress and TDP would be completely wiped out from the region for cheating the people on statehood.

TRS MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said that Telangana people are aspiring for separate State as major injustice has been done to them in the united Andhra Pradesh. He criticized the Congress and Telangana Forum members for not opposing the suspension of TRS MLAs from the House.

Describing the Congress and Telangana Forum members as `traitors of Telangana’ , he said that the people would teach a fitting lesson to them in the upcoming by-elections.

TRS leader N Odelu warned TDP MLA Motkupalli Narasimhulu of serious consequences if he fails to stop ‘malicious campaign’ against TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao. (INN
