Music Review : Shailaja Reddy Alludu – Lyrics dominate music

The complete audio album of Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming family entertainer, Sailaja Reddy Alludu, is out in stores. The music is composed by Gopi Sundar. Let’s see how the album turns out to be.

Song 1: Anu Baby

Analysis: The album starts off with Anu Baby, which was out already a few days back. Sung by Anudeep Dev, this is a typical teasing song and has some contemporary beats which are apt for the hummable lyrics written by Krishna Kanth. This song may attract the young audiences for its trendy setup.

Song 2: Shailaja Reddy Alludu Choode

Analysis: Sung by a famous tv anchor Satyavathi (Mangli), Sailaja Reddy Alludu Choode is a folk based content driven song. Lyrics by Kasarla Shyam are in Telangana style and they are good. This is an okayish song and it may work on the screen, depending on how it is placed in the movie.

Song 3: Egiregire

Analysis:  Egiregire is the third and also the best song in the album. This is a soulful melody number, crooned by Sid Sriram and Lipsika with their fresh vocals. If picturized in a proper way, this song will stand out for sure. Gopi Sundar, who is a master in composing melodies, has come up with a serene and soothing tune.

Song 4: Pelli Pandhiri

Analysis: Wrote by ace lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry, Pelli Pandhiri is a new age wedding song which narrates the importance of wedding and wedding procedures in a beautiful manner. Vijay Yesudas’ impressive voice and Gopi Sundar’s traditional folk beats combinedly make this song an instant hit.

Song 5: Thanu Vethikina

Analysis: Penned by Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry, Thanu Vethikina shines mostly because of his magical words. Satya Yamini’s vocals and fine modulations at regular intervals make this a hummable song, especially for girls. Gopi Sundar’s music is just about okay.

Verdict:-

Sailaja Reddy Alludu has all kinds of songs right from a melody number to a traditional wedding song. Our picks are Egiregire, a fresh melody that stands out in the album, while Pelli Pandhiri and Thanu Vethikina work majorly because of lyrics. The acceptance of the other two songs depends on their picturization on the screen.
