Naga Chaitanya's Dhada is dearing up for an August release and the music was launched yesterday in a glittering function. There is intense interest in the movie and the production team is quite confident of the movie's success. Let us see how the music fares. Devi Sri Prasad has scored the music for this film.

1.Godava Godava
Artist(s): Karthik, Priya Hemesh
Lyricist: Rama Jhogaya Sastry

Dhada This soft breezy number sung by Karthik and Priya Hemesh is an easily likable song. It is pleasant and Rama Jogayya Sastry's lyrics give the song a classy feel. DSP's music, while quite good, does sound a bit familiar and there is nothing new or novel. A decent song overall.

2.Bhoome Gundramga
Artist(s): Richard, Ranina Reddy
Lyricist: Rama Jhogaya Sastry

Dhada Another breezy number from Rama Jogayya Sastry. Richard's lilting tone gives the song a very youthful and cheerful feel. This might turn out to be Naga Chaitanya's intro song in the movie.Peppy music from DSP. Song has the potential to be choreographed quite well.

3.Telugu Bengali
Artist(s): Neeraj Sridhar, Sri Charan, Mega
Lyricist: Ananth Sriram

Dhada A mass song with folkish overtones. This is the kind of song that is usually picturised for the front benchers.Ananth Sriram's lyrics are nothing to write home about. The song is complemented by earthy music from DSP. Neeraj Sridhar's tone while good, lacks the gusto and punch needed to elevate songs of this genre to the next level. Naga Chaitanya has an opportunity to come up with some real masala steps for this song.

4. Diwali Deepanni
Artist(s): Andrea Jeremiah, Kalyan
Lyricist: Rama Jhogaya Sastry

Dhada A very catchy and hummable song with soulful performances from Kalyan and Andra Jeremiah.DSP's music sounds familiar and a little repetitive but its not a major irritant. Rama Jogayya Sastry's lyrics are ok and neither add nor subtract from the song's experience.A very decent song overall and one of the better songs in the album.

5.Chinnaga Chinnaga
Artist(s): Sagar
Lyricist: Ananth Sriram

Dhada A spirited short performance from Sagar. This song will most likely be used as a filler in the romantic scenes between Chaitanya and Kajal. DSP comes u with some very nice music for this song. If only the song wasnt so short, it would easily have been the best song of the album. Soulful lyrics from Anantha Sriram lend this number a lot of weight.

6.Hello Hello
Artist(s): Nikhil D Souza, Neha Bhasin
Lyricist: Ananth Sriram

Dhada A spirited short performance from Sagar. This song will most likely be used as a filler in the romantic scenes between Chaitanya and Kajal. DSP comes u with some very nice music for this song. If only the song wasnt so short, it would easily have been the best song of the album. Soulful lyrics from Anantha Sriram lend this number a lot of weight.

7.Ey Pilla
Artist(s): Jaspreet Jasz, Suchitra
Lyricist: Rama Jhogaya Sastry

Dhada A very spirited number from Jaspreet and Suchitra. Both the singers impart good energy to the song and they are well supported by some decent music from DSP. There is nothing to write home about in the lyrics department and Rama Jogayya Sastry just manages to give the singers something to sing. Dont look for rhyme or reason here. The success of this song will depend on how well it has been choreographed. The song will take some time to sink in.

Analysis
Dhada is an out and out mass action thriller and the songs reflect this to a large extent. The song "Hello Hello" is the best song of the album and will become a definite chartbuster. There are a few hummable numbers but apart from that, the songs are routine. This album has something for everyone and a few songs give Chaitanya ample opportunity to come up with dances that please crowds in B & C centres. Definitely not DSP's best work, but not his worst either. This is a safe album- the kind that you wont hate but one that you probably will not remember either. It remains to be seen if Dhada will create a 'dhada' with the music sales.
