Manamantha :
Malayali superstar Mohanlal made his Tollywood comeback after two decades with Chandrasekhar Yeleti's Manamantha. The film released on August 5th to largely overwhelming reviews and positive mouth talk. However, Manamantha opened to above average collections in A and B centres and average in C centres.
No 3rd position at the box office. .
The entire plot of Manamantha is quite engaging. Chandra Sekhar Yeleti cleverly turns a family drama into an entertaining and unique thriller. Regular twists in the story make for a thrilling watch. Mohanlal breathes life into his character of a middle-class employee. The way the suspense is maintained throughout the film and how all the storylines are intertwined in the end was handled excellently.
The seriousness in the story and lack of entertainment deterred the film's box-office prospects to an extent. Characterisations of Anisha Ambrose and Abhiram needed more clarity. Cinematography should have been more effective.
