After the success of Maruthi’s Bus Stop, Sri Divya became a house hold name in Tollywood. This talented actress is once again back with her latest film ‘Varadhi’. On the occasion of the film’s release, we caught up with Sri Divya for a brief interview. Let’s see what she has to say.
Q) What kind of feedback did you get for Varadhi ?
A) I got a lot of positive feedback for my performance, and all those who have seen the film are appreciating my role.
Q) What attracted you towards this script?
A) The way the director has narrated the script attracted me towards this script. It’s quite rare in Telugu films to portray a unique role like this.
Q) You have done homely roles till date. Will you do an out and out glamorized role?
A) No. I would love to play a traditional girl, and am very confident that I would carry it with a lot of ease. I am against lip-locks and glamorous roles.
Q) What are your present projects?
A) Right now, I am working in the direction of Sai Kiran Adivi’s ‘Kerintha’ which is going to be quite different from the characters I have done till date. I have done a bubbly role in this film.
Q) Do you have any dream roles?
A) Yes I do have, I like Gautami‘s characters in the films and would love to act in such a role if I am offered one .
Q) Why have you been so selective with your films?
A) I need to first like the role that I am offered. I just don’t want to do every role that comes my way. My character should excite me and should be challenging enough for me to portray.
Q) Tell us about your future projects?
A) ‘Kerintha’ is ready for release, and I have a couple of offers in Tamil which I will sign soon.
