Katamarayudu :
Amid sky-high expectations, Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Katamarayudu, an official remake of Thala Ajith's Veeram, released on March 24. The film was directed by Dolly of Gopala Gopala fame. The movie opened to record collections, but the average reviews limited its box-office potential to an extent.
No 3rd position at the box office. .
Pawan's getup in a traditional panchekattu, twirling royal moustache and his firebrand screen presence are the major highlights in the movie. Pawan's fights and songs and his romantic scenes with Shruti Haasan offer an endless treat to fans. The comedy scenes featuring Ali, brothers and Pawan in the first half are a huge hit with fans.
The film's second half is the major drawback. Lack of entertainment and a routine narrative mar the viewers' experience. The scenes featured in the pre-climax sequence are predictable. Even the lackluster climax stands as yet another minus. Anup Rubens' background score in the second half leaves a lot to be desired.
