Rashmika Mandanna is going to play a cricketer in Bharat Kamma’s upcoming film Dear Comrade, and the actress has been practising hard to prepare for the role. For the past few weeks, Rashmika had been busy shooting for her ongoing Kannada film in Mumbai; however, she is making it a point to attend the training sessions almost everyday.
Talking about how hard it has been for her to prepare for the role, Rashmika said, “Never in my life had I held a bat and ball. And all of a sudden I have to be a pro. From the training, I have learnt so much– there’s so much hand, leg and head co-ordination. Now I know how hard the game is. My respect to the women’s cricket team. Somehow, it’s easier for guys, but for women, holding the bat and running around is quite a challenge. I bow to them.” Ronald is training the actress to prepare for the role.
The film stars Vijay Devarakonda in a lead role, and it’s Rashmika’s second film with the actor. The duo will also be seen together in Parasuram’s upcoming romantic comedy.
