Released on this day, in 1983, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s iconic film, Khaidi, went on to become a huge blockbuster. Apart from the box-office success, the film went on to earn Chiru a newfound mass hero image and there has been no looking back for the actor. Today, the film completed 35 years of its release.
Khaidi is a revenge drama. The film was directed by Kodandarami Reddy, who had given several hits for Chiru. Madhavi is the film’s heroine. The memorable soundtrack was composed by K Chakravarthy. Dhananjaya Reddy is the producer. The film went on to collect over Rs 1.50 crores in those days.
