It’s been a while since Harish Shankar last directed a film and ever since Duvvada Jagannadham released more than a year ago, the director has been working on a bunch of ideas for his next film. At one point of time, he was supposed to work on a film to be produced by Dil Raju; however, it didn’t materialize.
The latest speculation is that Harish Shankar might direct the Telugu remake of Siddharth-Karthik Subbaraj’s Jigarthanda. Although the film was dubbed in Telugu, it had a limited release and not many people saw the Telugu version. Now, if all goes well, Harish Shankar might bring the film to a wider audience.
So far, no official announcement has been made, and it remains to be seen if Harish chooses to do a remake or stick to a script that he has been working on for quite sometime. More details are awaited.
