It looks like Shankar, Rajinikanth’s 2.0 will witness the biggest ever release for a South Indian film. So far, Baahubali 2 held the credit for releasing in close to 6500 screens across India. However, according to a leading Bollywood portal, 2.0 is expected to release in almost 6600-6800 screens in India alone.
Karan Johar who is presenting the film in Hindi is leaving no stone unturned to release the film in maximum number of theatres and early estimates suggest that Anil Thadani, who is distributing the Hindi version, is planning to release 2.0 in close to 4000 screens, which is huge.
With all these number of screens allocated to 2.0 in its first week, it will undoubtedly take a record-breaking opening, and it remains to be seen how long it sustains the momentum. Directed by Shankar, the film stars Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, and Amy Jackson in lead roles.
