It’s well known that the shady and tumultuous life of popular South Indian semi-adult film actress, Shakeela, is being made as a biopic. Titled Shakeela, the film has Popular Bollywood actress Richa Chadha reprising Shakeela’s role.
As per the latest updates, Shakeela biopic’s director Indrajith Lankesh is planning to cut the film with two different versions for the Indian and international release. While the Indian version will feature songs and dances, the international version will be crisp and devoid of any commercial tropes. Lagaan and Dangal editor Ballu Saluja will be editing the international version.
Shakeela biopic makers are planning to release the film in August, both in India and abroad simultaneously. The film will primarily have a Hindi release and it may later be dubbed in Telugu and Malayalam.
