Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan’s newly introduced English medium in government schools policy has been lauded by many. But the banning of Telugu medium in schools has been receiving a lot of criticism from linguists and even common people.
Amid this controversy, Janasena President Pawan Kalyan penned a series of tweets against the AP government this morning. He said that the ban has made him look at the Telugu books in his library with “great admiration, love and care.”
Known for his love for Telugu language and literature, Pawan posted a few photographs and offered glimpses of his Telugu literature collection. Telugu encyclopedia Pedda Balasiksha, Telugu Vyakaranamu (grammar), Andhrula Sanghika Charitra, Sivareddy Kavitha, Samagra Andhra Sahithyam, his favorite Telugu poet Devarakonda Balagangadhara Tilak, the very rare 7 volumes of Sri Suryarayandhra Nighantuvu (dictionary) etc are some of the gems that found their place in Pawan’s collection.
If the YCP leadership would have understood the true wealth of Telugu language, they wouldn’t have come with such preposterous policy of banning telugu medium in Govt schools.
