For the last two weeks, thousands of employees and trade union activists have been protesting against the BJP-led central government’s decision to privatise the iconic Vizag Steel Plant. In a huge boost, film star and Janasena Party president Pawan Kalyan, former union minister Megastar Chiranjeevi and actor-filmmaker Vishnu Manchu have expressed their solidarity with the movement.
And Nara Rohith is the latest Tollywood star to announce support to this massive protest for livelihoods. In a Facebook post yesterday, Nara Rohith said that the Vizag Steel Plant has been a matter of pride for Teluguites for two generations. He said that the ‘Save Vizag Steel Plant’ movement must get an immense support from all quarters. He also said that he will soon visit the Vizag Steel Plant to participate in the protests.
