Since yesterday, there has been a crazy buzz surrounding Tollywood star Prabhas’ Hollywood debut. A viral post on a social media platform claimed that Prabhas will be playing a key role opposite Hollywood star Tom Cruise in the upcoming spy thriller, Mission Impossible 7. The post further mentioned that MI7 director Christopher McQuarrie had narrated the script to Prabhas while the latter was shooting for Radhe Shyam in Italy.
However, Christopher McQuarrie, who had also helmed MI5 and MI6 in the past, ended the speculations this afternoon. When an Indian fan asked McQuarrie if Prabhas is indeed part of MI7, the Oscar-winning director replied, saying, “While he‘s a very talented man, we’ve never met. Welcome to the internet.”
Also starring Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson and Vanessa Kirby, Mission Impossible 7 is scheduled to be released on May 27, 2022.
