The movie tickets issue in Andhra Pradesh is in the news again. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has released a new set of guidelines to sell the tickets online.
The state government has assigned Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation (APFDC) to take responsibility as the ticket selling service provider. Every theater in the state must sign an agreement with APFDC and all the tickets will be sold through the service provider’s gateway only.
It is the theaters’ responsibility to arrange the necessary infrastructure and tickets needed to sell from a week before the release date. The government has also ordered the theaters to complete all these formalities within a month and also threatened that it will cancel the license of theaters that won’t meet the guidelines.
