This week, Bollywood had three notable releases: Phone Bhoot starring Katrina Kaif, Ishan Katter, and Siddhanth Chaturvedi; Mili, starring Janhvi Kapoor; and Double XL starring Huma Qureshi and Sonakshi Sinha. Among these three, Phone Bhoot had some decent buzz.
The news is that all three releases had dismal openings and have failed to attract audiences. Phone Bhoot has earned around two crores net, and the other two failed to rake in respectable numbers. While the new releases didn’t fare well, Kantara’s Hindi version collected more than Phone Bhoot yesterday.
Hence it is evident that Kantara remained the first choice of movie lovers this week and is again set to have some blasting numbers. Already it crossed past the 50 crore mark at the Hindi box office. However, unless the other movies show some growth today and tomorrow, things will be really difficult once the first Monday starts.
