This Friday, a mid-budget film titled Uunchai, which has Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role, got released. The film is off to great word of mouth and equally favorable reviews from critics. On the first day, the film surprised everyone by minting 1.81 crores Nett with limited release.
On the second day 2, the film showed a sensational 100% growth upon day one and raked in 3.64 crores Nett taking the two-day total to 5.45 crores as per the PR. The third-day advance bookings are phenomenal, and the movie is poised nicely for the long run.
This performance is very crucial for Bollywood now, which has not been in a great state lately. Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Parineeti Chopra, and Neena Gupta played important roles. The film is produced by Rajshri Productions, Boundless Media, and Mahaveer Jain Films. It is directed by Sooraj Barjatya, who delivered some classics like Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hai Kaun.
