Mani Ratnam’s dream project Ponniyin Selvan erased every existing record in Tamilnadu. The part of this flick grossed nearly 500 crores worldwide. While the response was stunning in Tamil, it was lukewarm in other languages. The second part is gearing up for a grand release on April 28, 2023.
As the fans eagerly await the promotional material, the makers shared a post teasing the fans. The social media post read, “Stay tuned for the trailer.” It has to be seen how the response will be in other languages this time for the sequel.
Ponniyin Selvan has an ensemble star cast of Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Sobhitha Dulipala in the lead roles. Oscar-winning AR Rahman is composing the tunes. Lyca Productions, in association with Madras Talkies, is bankrolling the biggie.
