Malayalam film Drishyam starring Mohanlal and directed by Jeethu Joseph, was one of the biggest blockbusters in Mollywood. The movie was later remade in many languages, and even the remake versions were highly successful. Drishyam 2 was also made, and it was released directly on Prime Video. Even the sequel was remade in multiple languages.
The latest news is that this Indian film will now be remade in the Korean language. The movie will be produced by Panorama Studios and the Korean production house Anthology Studios. The official announcement was made at the Cannes Film Festival today.
What’s more remarkable is that this is the first time an Indian production house will collaborate with a Korean Studio for a film. Can the Indian blockbuster win over the Korean audiences? We shall wait and see. More details about this project will be revealed in the days to come.
