The 23rd edition of the International Film Academy Awards (IIFA) took place at the Etihad Arena in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The award show was graced by several celebrities, including Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Madhavan, Mouni Roy, Dia Mirza, and Rahman, who made it a memorable one.
At the award ceremony, Universal Hero Kamal Haasan was conferred with the IIFA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema. Kamal attended the event he received the award from AR Rahman. Kamal Haasan is a powerhouse of talent who proved his mettle in different languages.
In his illustrious career, Kamal played a wide variety of roles and worked with many talented directors. The central government already honored Kamal with Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan. Kamal Haasan also has four National Awards and 17 Filmfare Awards to his name. Currently, Kamal Haasan is working on Indian 2, directed by Shankar Shanmugham, which releases next year.
