Thalapathy Vijay is currently balancing between his film career and political aspirations. He will next be seen in The Greatest of All Time, directed by Venkat Prabhu. The movie, featuring Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead, is scheduled to debut in cinemas on September 5, 2024.
Meanwhile, several directors’ names are circulating for Thalapathy 69, reportedly Vijay’s final film before fully dedicating himself to politics. H Vinoth, Vetrimaaran, Nelson Dilipkumar, Karthik Subbaraj, and even Trivikram’s names have surfaced online as potential directors for Thalapathy 69. However, the official announcement about the director is yet to be revealed.
During a recent award ceremony, Beast director Nelson Dilipkumar mentioned, “If I were the director of Thalapathy 69, I would cast Mahesh Babu, Shah Rukh Khan, and Mammootty alongside Vijay.”
This statement sparked a frenzy on social media, with fans urging Vijay to confirm Nelson as the director for his 69th movie, anticipating a multi-starrer film that could potentially break box office records. Producer of The GOAT, Archana Kalpathy, recently hinted that she knows who the director of Thalapathy 69 is, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the official announcement.
