It has been four years since Rocking Star Yash last appeared on the big screen. His previous outing was KGF Chapter 2. Following its phenomenal success, the actor took an extended break before signing Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, directed by Geetu Mohandas. The pan-Indian project is officially locked for a March 19, 2026 release in multiple languages, including English.
In the last few days, the makers have steadily heightened anticipation by unveiling character posters featuring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, and Tara Sutaria. Coinciding with Yash’s birthday, the team unveiled a special teaser today.
The nearly three-minute glimpse offers a striking introduction to Yash’s character, Raya. It opens in a cemetery where a group of gangsters are conducting funeral rites. Chaos erupts when a black car violently crashes into a tree. An elderly man steps out and is initially dismissed, but the mood shifts when he reveals a detonator primed for explosion. Meanwhile, Yash is shown in an intimate moment with a woman as the gang riddles the car with bullets. Moments later, a series of explosions devastate the area, leaving the gang annihilated. Yash then makes a commanding entry as Raya, gun in hand and cigar clenched between his lips, gunning down the remaining attackers and delivering the line, “Daddy’s home.”
The teaser leaves a solid impact with its gritty atmosphere, brutal action, and superior production values, clearly underlining the film’s raw and intense narrative. The makers also reaffirmed the release date and confirmed an English version alongside other Indian languages.
Apart from headlining the film, Yash has also co-written the script along with Geetu Mohandas. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is jointly produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, with music composed by Ravi Basrur.
