The postponement of Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan created a Pongal release gap, and a few films capitalised on that window. One among them was Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil (TTT), which featured Jiiva in the lead role.
Directed by Nithish Sahadev in his Kollywood debut, this rural political satire opened to decent reviews and went on to attract family audiences during the festive season. After its theatrical run, the film is now gearing up for its digital premiere.
Netflix has officially announced that Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil will start streaming from February 12, 2026. As of now, only the Tamil version has been confirmed, and there is no clarity yet on the release of dubbed versions in other languages.
The film is produced by Kannan Ravi under the Kannan Ravi Productions banner. The cast also includes Thambi Ramaiah, Prathana Nathan, Ilavarasu, and others in key roles. Music is composed by Vishnu Vijay. It remains to be seen how the film performs with the OTT audience.
