Superstar Rajinikanth recently announced his new project, tentatively titled Thalaivar173. Kamal Haasan is producing the film. Initially, Sundar C was set to direct the biggie, but later Cibi Chakravarthy came on board.

According to the latest buzz, prominent Malayalam actor Basil Joseph and actress Priyanka Mohan will play key roles in the film. It is said that Basil Joseph will be seen as Rajinikanth’s son in Thalaivar173.

The shoot of this fun-filled family entertainer will commence in April after Rajini wraps up Jailer 2. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music for the film, which is slated for a Pongal 2027 release.
