Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh will now arrive in cinemas on March 19. The makers advanced the release by a week to capitalize on the Ugadi holiday advantage. From the beginning, there have been rumors that the film is a remake of Theri.
Recently, director Harish Shankar clarified that the movie isn’t a remake and that he came up with an original script. Now, the story synopsis of Ustaad Bhagat Singh on Book My Show has indeed shocked fans.
The synopsis reads, “An IPS officer is forced into hiding with his young daughter after ruthless criminals destroy his family. Years later, when their survival is discovered, he must confront his past and fight once again to protect the only family he has left.”
The synopsis listed on the ticketing platform appears similar to the plot of Theri, and this has created tension among the fandom. Whether it is a platform error or whether the core storyline will remain the same remains to be seen. Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna play the female leads. Devi Sri Prasad provided the songs, while Thaman will score the background music.
