Popular actress Hansika Motwani has been granted a divorce from her husband, Sohael Khaturiya, by the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai. Hansika approached the court seeking separation by mutual consent, and she did not demand any alimony.
Hansika married Sohael Khaturiya in a traditional Hindu ceremony on December 4, 2022, in Jaipur. Advocate Adnan Shaikh, who represented Hansika, said that there were major differences between the couple in terms of their opinions and lifestyles.
It is said that the couple had arguments very often, which made it impossible for them to continue living under the same roof. Reportedly, their parents and relatives made several efforts to reunite them, but their attempts turned out to be unsuccessful. Hansika and Soael have been living separately since July 2024, and the court eventually granted them a divorce.
