After Mr. Bachchan, Harish Shankar is set to test his luck with Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The movie, headlined by Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, is slated for a grand release on March 19. When the film’s pre-look poster dropped, showcasing a back shot, many assumed it was Harish Shankar and not Pawan Kalyan.
Even after the teaser was released, a section of the audience believed that Harish Shankar acted as a body double for the star actor in backshots. In a recent interview, Harish debunked the speculations and clarified that he never featured as Pawan’s dupe. Harish added that he actually felt happy to see those rumors, as people felt he resembled the star hero.
The director stated that body doubles are used in the industry because a serious injury to a hero could force changes in the shooting schedules, resulting in crores of loss. He said this system developed since directors and producers are concerned about the safety of their heroes.
