Renowned director Priyadarshan is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Bhoot Bangla, which features Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on April 10, 2026.
During a recent interaction with Variety India, Priyadarshan spoke about a special milestone in his career – his 100th film as a director. He revealed that he hopes to make this landmark project with Mohanlal, who also starred in his debut film. If the project happens, it would be quite unique to see the same actor being part of both the director’s first and 100th films.
The filmmaker, who has worked with Mohanlal on several memorable films over the years, also hinted that their next collaboration could be a musical film, which would be a departure from his usual filmmaking style.
