The trailer of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Irumudi will be launched this Wednesday. There are massive expectations around the project, which releases on August 21. The family drama laced with devotional elements is directed by Shiva Nirvana. In an interview with Galatta Plus, Shiva Nirvana revealed that the movie has no connection to Sabarimala.
“Nothing is related to Sabarimala. The 41-day Ayyappa Deeksha is a part of the hero’s life. During that period, Ayyappa devotees will be very particular about their habits. I wanted to write a flawed character. If a drunkard guy has to take up this Deeksha, he has to stop drinking. That creates conflict. That’s why I took the Ayyappa Swamy backdrop. Nothing is related to Sabarimala or Ayyappa Swamy darshan,” said Shiva Nirvana.
He added, “The 41-day timeline forms the crux of the screenplay and that makes the movie more interesting. What happened before it and during that 41-day period will be exciting.”
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Irumudi features Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead, while Baby Nakshatra will be seen as Ravi Teja’s daughter. GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer.
