Sankranthi 2027 is already one of the most crowded festive seasons for Telugu cinema. A long list of interesting films is currently targeting the January window, promising a major box-office battle.

The season will begin with Mahakali on January 8, followed by January 12 Vidudala, starring Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram, on January 12.

Also arriving on the same day is Sai Durga Tej’s Sambarala Yeti Gattu, making January 12 particularly competitive. Chiranjeevi’s Kaaka is listed for January 13, while George Krish, starring Sharwanand, is targeting January 14.

The Sankranthi race becomes even bigger with a Ravi Teja–Sree Vishnu film set to release on January 14, and Rajinikanth’s Dharman also being considered for the same date.

With films arriving almost every day, the real challenge will be screen allocation. Sankranthi is traditionally one of the biggest seasons for Telugu cinema, but with so many films competing, there will be a massive fight for screens. Let’s see how all this pans out.
