Mirzapur The Movie did the unthinkable at the box office. For an OTT series made into a feature film, it is not at all an easy task to pull audiences to the theatres, but the mass action drama has kickstarted a new era in Indian cinema.
The movie has now zoomed past the Rs. 200 crore nett mark in India. Only a very few Bollywood movies have managed to achieve this feat in 2026. The massive success of Mirzapur: The Movie will surely encourage the makers of more such OTT shows to venture into cinema.
After its strong hold on the second Friday, the film did slow down a bit, with muted growth over the weekend. However, the job is already done with superb collections, and the movie has attained superhit status. If it can reach the Rs. 250 crore nett mark, it will be a memorable finish for Mirzapur: The Movie.
