OTT rankings can change quickly, and the latest Netflix charts have brought a surprising result for Suriya’s Vishwanath & Sons and Ravi Teja’s Irumudi. Last week, Irumudi was the biggest Indian title on Netflix’s Global Top 10 for Non-English Films, taking the No. 1 spot with 3.4 million views. Vishwanath & Sons was also in the chart at No. 5 with 2.1 million views.
The latest rankings for the period of September 28 – October 4 have changed things completely. Vishwanath & Sons is now at No. 7 with 1.2 million views, while Irumudi has dropped to No. 9 with 1.1 million views. The biggest surprise is the fall of Irumudi.
The Ravi Teja-starrer has gone from No. 1 to No. 9 in just a week, while Suriya’s Vishwanath & Sons has managed to stay ahead of it despite also seeing a drop in views. In India, Vishwanath & Sons has taken the No. 1 spot, with Irumudi following closely at No. 2.
It remains to be seen whether Vishwanath & Sons can hold its place in the Global Top 10 next week. Irumudi, meanwhile, faces a bigger challenge to stay on the chart after its sharp drop.
