Mega Prince Varun Tej suffered an injury while preparing for his next film, Bhari. He recently underwent surgery and has now fully recovered. Bhari is a rural sports drama set against the backdrop of volleyball and directed by Yadhu Vamsi of Committee Kurrollu fame.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Netflix has acquired the digital rights to the film for a hefty price even before shooting has begun. Considering the success track record of Niharika Konidela’s Pink Elephant Pictures banner, reports are doing the rounds that Netflix has offered a solid price for the film.

Varun Tej’s father, Nagababu, will play a key role in the film, while Anoop Dev will compose the music. The makers are planning to release the film in the second half of 2027.
