Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) was originally intended to be Pradeep Ranganathan’s second film, but it has now become his fourth, with its release scheduled for this Friday. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, this futuristic romantic drama features Krithi Shetty as the female lead.

While the project initially generated significant buzz, the current situation has shifted dramatically. Following a mediocre response to the trailer, bookings have opened to underwhelming results.

Most notably, the film is failing to gain traction on tracking platforms like BookMyShow. Despite being open for over 24 hours, it has not yet appeared on the hourly or daily sales tracking charts. This is especially concerning given that the recently released Leader, starring “Legend” Saravanan, has already recorded 5.6K tickets sold in the last 24 hours. The total absence of tracking data for LIK is an alarming indicator of the public’s lack of interest.

Despite a soundtrack composed by Anirudh Ravichander and the presence of the versatile SJ Suryah in a key role, there are no signs of a strong theatrical opening. Whether this marks the lead actor’s first major setback or becomes a surprise hit will be determined in just two days.

Adivi-Sesh-and--Sai-Marthan

With the rom-com entertainer Little Hearts, director Sai Marthand created a sensation of sorts. The film, starring Mouli Tanuj Prashanth and Shivani Nagaram, went on to earn nearly ₹40 crores gross in its lifetime.

All eyes are now on the director’s second venture, and Sai Marthand unexpectedly announced his new film at the Dacoit pre-release event. The film will be headlined by Adivi Sesh and will go on floors after Goodachari 2.

Sai Marthand revealed that his film with Adivi Sesh is a love story. Dacoit is also a love story, and Sesh once again choosing to be part of the same genre is surely an interesting move, considering he mostly prefers thrillers.

Salman Khan and Apoorva Lakhia collaborated on the war action drama titled Battle of Galwan, based on the Galwan Valley clash between India and China. However, the film’s content underwent significant changes after the Ministry of Defence reportedly requested Salman and team to go fictional with the film with reshoots. It is said that the officials didn’t want to affect the relations between India and China.

As per Bollywood Hungama, Salman respected their decision and instantly reshot around 40 per cent of the film, adding more romance and a backstory to his character. Even the title was changed to Maatrubhumi from Battle of Galwan. However, it is said that the newer cut too is facing issues, and the film won’t release as rumoured before in May.

The war drama could now be released in June, subject to the required approvals as per the report. This makes sense since the latest promotional assets of the film didn’t carry the new release date. Fans are pessimistic about the film’s output and reception. Let’s see if Salman can weave his magic and deliver a surprise hit. Chitrangadha Singh plays the female lead.
